Our databases use a single-sign on option that is connected with your SVC Credentials. If you are already signed in to SVC Services on your web browser, you may not be prompted to sign in. If you are prompted to sign in, you will sign in using your credentials that you have for everything else SVC related. (firstname.lastname@stvincent.edu and the password you use)

If you are having problems logging in to the databases, please contact the Library at 724-805-2906.

When searching for articles within the database, use these helpful hints:

• Clicking 'Peer Reviewed" will limit your search to academic (scholarly) articles
• Clicking 'Full Text" will give you articles that have the full text HTML or PDF
• Try different combinations of keywords
• Once the search results show, use the limiters on the left hand side to narrow your search
